The events, screened on selected Saturday afternoons in March, April, June and August 2008, showcased some of the very best content created by the good people of Alt film or photo they want to watch by movement in front of the screen.
Alt Valley Vision is a new community media initiative enabling residents, businesses and organisations within North East Liverpool to create websites including video, audio and other multimedia content. The main aim of the project was to develop compelling, entertaining rich media content with the local community in order to increase computer usage and broadband uptake amongst residents with low levels of digital literacy.
Knowledge gained through the early models utilized in the ‘video-carousel’ and ‘picture-float’ pilots subsequently influenced content delivery at the screen for Mobile Movies and Pocket Pictures.
